- BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations. Certificates: EIC, Minor Works and EICR.
- Building Regulations
- In England, notifiable electrical work comes under Part P. Registering it through a competent person scheme such as NICEIC or NAPIT is the usual route.
- VAT and CIS
- 20% VAT if registered. CIS at 20% or 30% applies when you work for contractors, and the domestic reverse charge when they are VAT registered and not the end user.
- Landlords
- Private landlords in England must have the electrics inspected and tested at least every five years and give tenants the report.

How do UK electricians price a rewire?
