What it does
- Both partners plus a joint account on every transaction
- Settle Up: fair share 50/50 or by income, and who owes whom
- Zero-based monthly budget with budget-vs-spent chart
- Year view with savings rate
- Works in Google Sheets and Excel; any currency

Three ways couples split money
- 50/50: each partner pays half of shared bills. Simple; can feel unfair when incomes differ a lot.
- By income: each partner pays the same percentage of their own income. If one earns 60% of the household income, they cover 60% of shared costs.
- Joint account: both pay into one account that covers shared bills. The Settle Up tab ignores joint-account payments because they are already shared.
How Settle Up works
Each transaction records who paid: partner 1, partner 2 or the joint account. For the month you pick, the sheet adds up what each partner paid personally for shared categories, works out each person's fair share (50/50 or by income), and shows one line: who owes whom, and how much.
A 20-minute monthly money date
- Open Monthly and look at budget vs spent together.
- Open Settle Up and transfer the amount it shows.
- Agree next month's budgets on Setup until "Left to assign" is 0.
